Prosegur is Launching a Global Physical and Emotional Wellbeing Programme for its 150,000 Employees
Through the Pro360 initiative, Prosegur is reaffirming its commitment to the quality of life of all its employees, from a global and comprehensive perspective, focusing on four basic pillars: physical well-being, nutrition, health, emotional and social well-being.
Madrid, (April 26, 2022) – Prosegur, the largest global benchmark in the private security sector, has taken another step forward in its commitment to contribute to improving the quality of life of its employees with the launch of Pro360, its global comprehensive wellness programme, aimed at its nearly 150,000 workers, located in the 26 countries in which the company operates.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) defines health as "a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity". In line with this approach, Prosegur is committed to promoting a healthy lifestyle among all its employees, understanding well-being from an integral perspective. To this end, the Pro360 programme focuses on four basic pillars: physical well-being, nutrition, health, emotional and social well-being.
As Juan Luis Martín, Prosegur's Global Human Resources Director explains, "employees are the backbone of Prosegur, which is why we consider our contribution to their well-being and quality of life a priority”. Events such as those we have been experiencing in recent years, especially the coronavirus pandemic, have highlighted even more forcefully the need to support people's care from a 360-degree and continuous perspective over time. The aim is to reinvent our daily routine, and this is just the beginning.
A global and comprehensive perspective on well-being
Prosegur will periodically launch different activities and initiatives within the four specific areas addressed by the Pro360 programme – physical well-being, nutrition, health and emotional and social well-being. The aim is to motivate and encourage the participation of its employees and to promote habits that favour a healthier and more balanced life:
- Physical Well-being: various activities will take place in this area. In May, for example, the first edition of the Prosegur Digital Race will be held simultaneously in the different countries in which the Company operates. As a result of this initiative, the Pro360 RUNNING Club will be launched, with a dynamic ranking for all employees who practise this sport. Local tournaments in different sports are also planned, depending on the country and region.
- Nutrition: among other actions, employees will have access to monthly nutritional advice and live events with a nutritionist in a "question-answer" format. A cooking competition will also be organised and a Pro360 recipe book will be created, which will include the dishes proposed by the winners.
- Health: in order to improve the health of its employees, Prosegur will disseminate information pills on different topics, such as postural hygiene, sleep, psychosocial aspects and road safety, among others, as well as promoting challenges that encourage the incorporation of healthy habits in the daily lives of its employees.
- Emotional and Social Well-Being: another fundamental aspect of people's well-being is attention to emotional and social aspects. Among others, various proposals of the Prosegur Foundation, with which the company works closely, will be presented, including cultural and volunteer activities. In addition, global and local initiatives in relation to diversity and equality, such as Empowered Women, which promotes female talent, and different actions focused on respect and care for theenvironment, will be made visible.
